Where does Katherine Varnava Interiors work?
The studio is based in Mayfair, London, where clients are welcome by appointment, and works across the capital, Hertfordshire and the wider UK, with projects in the UAE. International projects are delivered through detailed design packages, coordinated technical sets and key milestone site visits.
What does the service include?
Full interior design for private residences and commercial spaces, guidance through refurbishments and new builds, technical design and bespoke joinery, and FF&E design and procurement. Projects can be delivered alongside your architect and contractor, or as a single design-and-build service from concept to completion.
How does the design process work?
Every project follows a five-stage, RIBA-aligned journey: Define, Develop, Resolve, Deliver and Complete. It runs from briefing, spatial planning and concept through developed layouts, detailed joinery and construction-issue packs to FF&E procurement, installation oversight and styled handover.
Do you work alongside my architect and contractor?
Yes. The studio works closely with private clients, architects and contractors so that what is envisioned is also deliverable, and provides contractor coordination and design oversight on site during the Deliver stage. On The Bishops Avenue in London, for example, the studio works alongside the main contractor, Crown Building.
Is Katherine a qualified interior designer?
Katherine Varnava is a BIID Registered Interior Designer® with the British Institute of Interior Design, and the founder and creative director of the studio.
How many projects does the studio take on?
A deliberately limited number each year, so that Katherine remains personally involved in every detail from concept to completion.
